Poplar Cottage is a large, welcoming 3-bedroom retreat that comfortably sleeps up to six guests. Nestled in the heart of the Houtkapperspoort Estate valley, it offers a peaceful escape surrounded by natural beauty.
To ensure a seamless stay during power outages, we’ve installed a 5KVa inverter. This powers all plug circuits and lights, helping to ease the impact of load-shedding.
Inviting Living Spaces
Step into the generous double-volume lounge, where wooden beams and high ceilings create an airy feel. A cozy rattan lounge suite invites you to relax, while the smart TV box allows easy connection to your favorite streaming service or DStv stream. There's also a flat-screen TV and plenty of space to unwind after a day of exploring.
Fully Equipped Kitchen
The open-plan kitchen sits towards the back of the cottage and is fully fitted with a gas hob, electric oven, fridge-freezer, and washing machine. A bar counter with stools adds extra seating and creates a sociable cooking space.
Three Tranquil Bedrooms
The main bedroom, located downstairs, features a Queen-size bed with peaceful valley views. Nearby, the second bedroom has two single beds, ideal for children or friends. Upstairs, you'll find the third bedroom — a cozy Queen-size bed tucked beneath the sloped wooden ceiling. Each room is furnished with fresh linen and comfortable mattresses, ensuring a restful night’s sleep.
Modern Bathrooms
Both bathrooms are fitted with showers (no baths), offering guests a modern and convenient space to refresh.
Outdoor Living
Outside, the large front patio is furnished with garden seating — perfect for morning coffee overlooking the estate. At the back, the private garden looks up toward the mountains and includes a built-in braai/BBQ, a firepit, and extra seating for evening gatherings under the stars.
